My contribution to To Gaza, With Love: A Global Anijam

“TO GAZA, WITH LOVE: A Global Anijam invites animators and artists from around the world to create short 10-30 second animated messages of love and support to the Palestinian people. These animated sequences/films are then collected and uploaded to an interactive global map to highlight pockets of support for Gaza from around the world.”  (From the To Gaza, With Love event page)

I created a zoetrope depicting the national bird of Palestine, the Palestine Sunbird. The bird is flying free and represents a hope that the people of Palestine will also be free.

The global animation project is organised by Animation Community For Palestine and is inspired by the work of Haneen Koraz and her team teaching children in Gaza to create stop motion animations telling their stories.
