I’m Christina, a Bristol based animator, motion designer and general lover of all things illustration and animation. I’ve always loved to draw and make things. I studied Industrial Design at University and graduated with a 1st in 2022. I took away lots of important sketching and design skills from the course but realised an Industrial Design career wasn’t really for me. Instead I decided to follow my long-term love for animation and learn to become an animator. Since then I’ve worked as a Creative Designer for a London based Tech Startup before moving to Bristol to work as an in-house Motion Designer for a marketing company.
After following lots and lots of youtube tutorials, I thought I better get some proper animation training and in 2023 enrolled on The Aardman Academy’s Stop Motion 1 Course. This was an amazing 3 months of intensive learning and mentorship from the incredible animators at Aardman. This also introduced me to the world of Stop Motion animation and inspired me to be a bit more experimental with the techniques I use. At the moment, I work mainly in 2D using After Effects and TV paint, with some Stop Motion scattered in there.
When i’m not animating you can find me drawing, playing the guitar, or attempting an ambitious baking project.
